as Gulbenkian Cinema
One of Kent’s leading independent cinemas recently re-opened following an extensive refit. With funding from the Film Council and the University of Kent, the cinema now offers 300 brand new cinema seats with greater access and seating for people with limited mobility and wheel chair users. A new screen, new projectors and Dolby digital surround sound were installed earlier this year and, together with the new décor, now make the Gulbenkian Cinema a wonderful facility for the students and the communities of Canterbury and East Kent.
