Production & Development
Finding and promoting new talent is Screen Souths main aims. Screen South fosters hubs of production and development activity, working in alliance with existing organisations where available, and providing facilities directly where necessary.
Screen South will:
ensure new talent is exposed to the best current industry practise whether it be pitching workshops, script development or business advice
facilitate access to funding for short film production, for broadcast and distribution
assist with marketing, distribution and exhibition
Regional Production & Development Organisations
OFVM Centre for Film + Digital Media.
OFVM (Oxford Film and Video Makers) provides production support, training programmes and screening events for people in and around Oxford.
The Centre offers surgeries to support new productions, runs film nights to encourage collaborations and takes on commissioned work. Training includes digital video, experimental media, 16mm Film, post production, VJ ing and local project work. Regular screenings at the Zodiac nightclub and outside in Oxford parks.

LIGHTHOUSE, Brighton
Lighthouse is committed to developing new talent in digital media and film. It does this through a range of training and production activities which include artist commissions, new directors schemes for Broadcast TV, digital workshops with young people and intensive courses in new media production.

CITY-EYE, Swaythling, Southampton
City Eye is a non-profit, Charity organisation that has been working in Southampton and Hampshire since 1987. Set up to help bring affordable film and video to other community organisations and disadvantaged groups City Eye supports all people interested in the moving image. City Eye receives financial support from Southampton City Council and development funds from Southern Arts. It also generates income from equipment hire and video production/projects.
