SICK had its international premiere in March at 24th European Film Festival of Lille, supported by a RIFE award from Screen South, and on a French language print sponsored by Screen Subtitling Systems. In the six months since then it has received 25 selections across 11 countries and 5 US States, winning 5 awards including a Gold Award in the category of Short Film at 41st Houston International Film Festival, an Honourable Mention at California’s prestigious Accolade Film Awards, and Best Editing at San Francisco Short Film Festival. It has been nominated 4 times for Best International Short, including at Rome Independent Film Festival.

The film's festival campaign has just been refinanced by South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust Charitable Funds for the coming year. It is now being trialled up and down the country for educational use and is currently under offer from two of the UK’s leading sales agents.

The film is a debut work from Mike Rymer who here talks about all aspects of the shoot on the popular weekly podcast Director's Notes.

The film is produced by Christine Hartland of Patchwork Productions. For more information visit the official website here.
