SCREEN SOUTH PRODUCER PROGRAMME – DEVELOP, CONNECT, PRODUCE…

Screen South is launching a unique 12 month producer development programme of six, bi-monthly, informal, intimate ‘in conversation’ industry Lunchtime talks and programme of one to ones, for 10 selected producers from the Screen South region with a feature project currently in development.
The aim of ‘Develop, Connect, Produce…’ is to introduce up-and-coming South East Producers to the UK Film Industry key players and decision makers – the brokers who will help get your feature into production. Including – Financiers; Fund Heads; Sales Agents; Lawyers; Distributors; Accountants and Line Producers…
The Lunchtime talks will take place at easily accessible central venues on the second Wednesday of every other month, commencing
8th September 2010

Sessions will focus on:
Project Development and Packaging
Lawyers: IP, Rights, and Cross Media
Financiers
Distribution and Sales: traditional and new
Independent Producers’ problems and solutions
UK Film Council and MEDIA
Each session will be tailored to our producers’ needs. Our guests will be provided with information on all participant producers (including biographies and project outlines), plus participants will be encouraged to pre-submit specific project questions to speakers relating to their area of expertise/specialism.
Throughout the programme participants will have the opportunity to have individual 1-2-1s with the Screen South Executive, and at various stages of the programme will be asked to submit three written project updates, these reports will enable Screen South to continually evaluate and adapt the programme to individual projects’ progress and requirements.’
Cost of the Programme:
Participant Contribution (20%)- £200
Screen South RIFE support for each Participant £800
