Once again Screen South is taking part in the pan-European Docu-Regio programme along with sixteen other European Film Funds. Docu Regio provides some unique networking opportunities, and aims to help selected participants secure funding for their feature documentary project. To read more about it click here.

2009 Docu Regio participant Claire Lewis, from Hampshire, had this to say upon completing the programme:

"It was the most fantastic opportunity to meet documentary film-makers from all over Europe (...) The live pitch to film funders from all over Europe was not only very challenging but also so useful. The response to the project was enthusiastic with interest being expressed for co-production from Sweden, Germany and Ireland (...) The whole experience was very rewarding and confirms my belief that Europe has a real commitment to documentary as an art form both in the cinema and on TV. "

The deadline for applications will be 6th April 2010.
