Kent media company and Screen South Community Network partner Beeping Bush Productions is bringing the sound of laughter back to the British seaside with the return of its exciting comedy shorts competition.

The team behind the incredibly successful 2 Days Later Short Film Competition are setting their sights once again on making audiences scream with laughter with The 2 Days Laughter Short Film Competition. The event, now in its third year, aims to give filmmakers, comedians and writers the opportunity to produce a comedy short in a total of only 48 hours. To be showcased to a public audience, and competing for prizes, judged by a panel of film and media & entertainment industry professionals.



“We want filmmakers and comedians to tickle the audience’s funny bone with short films or sketches, stand-up or improvisation routines, of no more than five minutes in length. It's a rare and free opportunity for comedians and filmmakers alike to actually see how an audience reacts to their work in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere."  MICK ETHERTON, BEEPING BUSH PRODUCTIONS

Deadline for the 2010 competition film entries is 3rd March 2010. If you are interested in entering the competition you can download a copy of the brief from www.2dayslaughter.co.uk website.

A selection of film submissions will be shown at the April Fools' Screening on Saturday 27th March 2010 at the Theatre Royal Margate. To get a flavour of the competition why not check out last year's entries and short documentary of the Screening night.
