Screen South in partnership with Cine Regio and Film Export UK, is delighted to announce the launch of the Cine-Euro Co-Production Training Programme. Cine-Euro is a 9 month programme which aims to assist 8 UK producers develop, market, finance and enable European Partnership for European Co-Productions. The programme will receive full support from the Cine-Euro Network of screen agencies as well as training support from Film Export UK. The programme included attendance at The Edinburgh International Film Festival and two European International Film Festivals, instructed by the Cine-Regio Network.

The programme started in March 2008 and runs over 12 months, Cine Euro comprises of a comprehensive training programme consisting of 15 events over 9 months. One to one surgeries will take place at regular intervals, starting at the Edinburgh Film Festival in June with award winning producer Pippa Cross (Shooting Dogs, My Left Foot). Participants also had access to a special information day session during the festival with European National and Regional Funds. More one to one sessions will be scheduled during the course of the programme, along with seminars on marketing, sales and 'closing the deal' to be run by Film Export UK. The participants will also be able to see the development of their films further assisted by individually assigned mentors, all successful producers with extensiveco-production experience.

The participants will also get together at two international film festivals during the course of their training and will aim to finalise their co-production partners early in the Autumn, before presenting their projects to invited guests from the European Marketplace at the 2009 Berlinale.
